Homecoming Oct. 8, 2016

John Sayers ‘81 September 5, 2016 Alumni News, Graduate Council

Time for the annual meeting of Phi Kappa Tau alumni at Bethany! Coming to Bethany for Homecoming Weekend? Start your day by stopping in at the Chapter House at 9 a.m. to get together with old friends and brothers. Coffee! Donuts!

We’ll go over chapter business for the year and elect new Graduate (Alumni) Council officers—president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. Phi Chapter always needs good volunteers. Are you interested in serving? Contact Nominating Committee Chair Christopher Berry at berrychristophers@yahoo.com and let him know!

We’ll wrap up in about an hour, in time to participate in other Saturday events on campus: http://bethanywv.edu/homecoming/. Then we’ll have more time for socializing in the parking lot of Bison Stadium for the annual Phi Tau Homecoming Tailgate Picnic beginning at noon. Stop by, it’s always big fun for the entire family!

Did you know that Bethany will be formally installing its 20th president, Dr. Tamara Nichols Rodenberg on Friday, Oct. 8? Many of us met Dr. Rodenberg at last year’s tailgate, when she and her family stopped by to meet us. Many of us think she is just what Bethany needs right now, and will be discussing  what Phi Tau can do to “be loyal to our college” and support her in the coming days.

Hope to see you in Bethany in a few weeks. Make your plans today! If you have questions, give Grad Council President John Sayers a buzz at jhsayers@mac.com.
